Nurse / Fulton

Rosanne Foster has climbed the health care professional ladder, starting off as a candy striper at Lee Memorial Hospital.

She went on to obtain her LPN, then her RN, eventually becoming nurse manager of the hospital's ICU and ER. She's now a nurse practitioner working for Angelo Porcari Medical Services. Recently, she played a role in the design of Lee's new ICU, a move that has brought updated technology to the hospital.

"Roseanne always has time for her patients," says patient Helen Clark. "She is very efficient and competent. I can ask questions and get answers."
"She is a very intelligent individual who is also a compassionate, concerned NP," says Beverly Alton, LPN.

Foster's efforts have helped patients gain control over diabetes, hypertension and obesity. She also teaches CPR and is a mentor with the New Visions program.
Foster says she enjoys her job and strives to bring the best health care she can to her patients, whom she treats like family.

While she's received honors for her work before, Foster lists the thanks and appreciation of her patients among the greatest honors she's received.

Foster is the former president of the Oswego County chapter of Nurse Practitioners Association and treasurer of the Oswego chapter of Star Society.
