Edward Galvin
Provider/Other

A patient can "adjust" quite easily to the friendly demeanor of Dr. Edward Galvin. Galvin is a chiropractor who owns and operates Port City Chiropractic in Oswego.
He is a winner in the "Healthcare Heroes" Provider/Other category.

"Dr. Galvin is hands-down, the best in his field," said Deana Michaels, branch manager at Pathfinder Bank and a patient.

"He is passionate, caring, gentle and sincere," she said while making the nomination. "Once, I had a family emergency and he and his wife offered to care for my children. I have never met a doctor who cares so much for his patients."

The native Oswegonian is married to Mary Anne Galvin and the couple is expecting their first child in July. He established Port City Chiropractic in 1988.

He attended the former Bishop Cunningham High School in Oswego, Keystone College in La Plume, Pa., and Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
At Palmer, Galvin received the John Connolly Memorial Award for being the most outstanding graduate in his class.

He considers his most significant accomplishments as building a successful evidence-based chiropractic practice and teaching continuing education seminars on instrument-adjusting protocols to doctors of chiropractic and students.

Galvin has participated in the New Visions program, which involves students visiting and learning healthcare related professions.
He has had numerous chiropractic interns in his office over the years and mentors new doctors of chiropractic as well.
